Cleavehill Miss Elizabeth, CGC
(l/w bitch, whelped 1981)
(Ch. Cleavehill Ned Kelly x Cleavehill Miss Brodie)

Lizzie was bred by the late Jean Taylor of Cleavehill Kennels in England.  I brought Lizzie back myself during a trip to the U.K. and never looked back.  Lizzie was a good sized-bitch, but of excellent proportion and conformation.  She was bred to several dogs in my line, but most importantly to Ch. Snowspring Black Onyx, CD.

Amer. Ch. Cleavehill Ned Kelly
(l/w/t dog, whelped 1973)
(Swed. Ch. Cleavehill John Peel x Carwinley Charm)

When I was in the U.K. purchasing Cleavehill Miss Elizabeth, Jean Taylor told me that Lizzie's sire lived somewhere in New York, and that his owners were violin makers.  While living in the U.K. Ned joined their family as a pet.  Somehow I found his owners and convinced them to show the dog.  Ned was given to Candy Carswell, and he was the first U.K. import to finish an American Championship since Kennersleigh Cleavehill Beliza Bee (whelped 1966).  Ned sired many litters here, and is seen time and time again in my pedigrees.
