Ch. Lady Margaret of Tamridge
(b/w bitch, whelped 1973)
(Ch. Chinoe's Eminent Judge, CDX x Willowbank's RSVP of Tamridge)

Maggie was bred by my mentor, the late, great Barbara Parker of Tamridge Kennels.  I actually rescued Maggie from an abusive home, and was told although she was gorgeous, was too much of a basket-case to show her.  Well, I didn't listen, and the rest is history.  I showed her myself to several points, and then she finished her Championship under the direction of handler Kathy Kirk with some wonderful wins along the journey.  She produced four litters for me, and most noteably her son, my foundation stud dog, Ch. Snowspring Black Onyx, CD.

Rocky - my first homebred Champion.  My best friend, my love.  He was taken to his Championship by handler Elliot More, and my late husband, Ken Robie put a CD on him.  He was a very popular sire and produced many titled get in his lifetime.  All of his get (titled or not) that were in breeding homes, played an integral part in Springer bloodlines. Rocky died just short of his 15th birthday and I have never recovered from his passing.

Amer. Can. Ch. Donnington Miss Liberty
(l/w bitch, whelped 1986)
(Ch. Snowspring Black Onyx, CD x Cricket Hill Donnington Ogee)

missy_web.jpg

Missy - the bitch who loved to show!  She handily finished her Championship with three majors.  I put four points on her myself and she was then brought to the fine hands of Phil Nelson.  Missy gave us the ultimate thrill of finishing her title a few weeks before our Eastern English Springer Spaniel Club Specialty Show, and was moved up from the classes into the Specials class, where she defeated an enourmous entry of Champion bitches and went Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed.  What a thrill!

Snowspring Crown Jewel
(b/w bitch, whelped 1985)
(Ch. Snowspring Black Onyx, CD x Cleavehill Miss Elizabeth, CGC)

tiara_web.jpg

Tiara - Drop-dead gorgeous, and hated to show!  Tiara was pointed in the U.S.  shown initially by Candy Carswell and then by the late Peg Nelson.  The same day that Ch. Donnington Miss Liberty went BOS at Eastern, Tiara was about to win the huge open class and 5 point major, but at the last minute she lost her tail and got moved back. Tiara played a very important role in my breeding program, and was an outstanding example of the infusion of Cleavehill into my own line.

Snowspring Donnington Spode
(b/w bitch, whelped 1986)
(Ch. Snowspring Black Onyx, CD x Cleavehill Miss Elizabeth, CGC)

china_web.jpg

China - fondly called "Lotsadotz" - she was shown in a few matches, but her real value was in the whelping box.  She was tri-factored, had a wonderful disposition and was a good mover.  One of China's daughters, Donnington Etruscan Spode, JH, was a very keen l/w/t owned, trained and shown to her title by David Murotake of Nashua, NH.  China carries on in our pedigrees today.

Snowspring Willowbank Brgee
(b/w dog, whelped 1987)
(Ch. Snowspring Black Onyx, CD x Willowbank's Calliope)

burgee_web.jpg

Burgee - A lovely son of Ch. Snowspring Black Onyx, CD, bred by Julia and Alex Merriman, Willowbank Farm, Rhode Island.  Burgee was a wonderful friend.  A more gentle, kinder dog you could not meet.  He was the sire of some wonderful dogs in our line, including Snowspring Crownpiece (b/w dog out of Snowspring Crown Jewel) and Willowbank's Gunfallon (l/w dog out of Nobhill Millions of Luck).

Amer. Can. Ch. Snowspring Scrimshaw
(b/w bitch, whelped 1990)
(Ch. Snowspring Black Onyx, CD x Willowbank's Maxine)

ivory_web.jpg

Ivory - super show bitch.  Ivory finished her Canadian Championship at the tender age of 8 months old, undefeated in the classes and winning multiple puppy and adult groups along the way.  Barbara Partridge guided her along this whirlwind journey.  I then turned her over to Diana Mason, who showed her to her American Championship which was achieved at 18 months of age.  Ivory unfortunely didn't produce many babies, and she was lost at a young six years old.  Her full brother, Snowspring Mogen David, is seen in many of my pedigrees today, and he is behind Snowspring Highland Gold, who has just been bred.

Can. Ch. Snowspring Goldfinger, CGC
(b/w/t dog, whelped 1987)
(Mr. Kennedy ofTimberlee x Cleavehill Miss Elizabeth, CGC)

midas_web.jpg

Midas - an outstanding mover, solid topline and loved to show!  Midas was yet another great example of our lines crossed with Cleavehill.  He was a double Ch. Cleavehill Ned Kelly grandson.  Shown and pointed in the U.S. under the direction of Mark Threlfall, Midas never finished here because of his size (21+") and color.  He was then sent to Canada to the capable hands of Will Alexander, where he readily finished his Championship with multiple Best of Breeds.  Midas came home to sire multiple litters and passed his qualities to many get.  We are still working with his bloodline today.

Amer. Can. Ch. Donnington Shelby Frodo
(b/w/ dog, whelped 1989)
(Ch. Tamridge Just Albert x Cricket Hill Donnington Ogee)

frodo_web.jpg

Frodo - Owned by dear friends, David & Tommie Murotake of Nashua, NH.  Half-brother to Amer. Can. Ch. Donnington Miss Liberty, Frodo was not to be outdone by his sister who finished with three majors - Frodo finished with FOUR!  Diana Mason showed him in the U.S., and Will Alexander in Canada.  A great moving dog with lots of substance and coat, and the sire of several nice litters.
